Day 8 - Dawson Creek to Prince George, British Columbia

First: Happy Labor Day to my fellow Americans. Hope you’re at the beach, the park or the pool enjoying an end-of-summer BBQ.

It was a bit of a short day as the organizers had to cancel a complicated stage in the middle of the day because the track was just to rough. They added a double Regularity, but we still finished about 3:30pm.

We scored pretty well on the three Regularities with scores of 1, 3, and 2. Although that was decent, I don’t believe it will let us advance up the leaderboard.

We saw a black bear today, but some of the crews saw a grizzly bear….brown in color and much bigger than the black bear.

We can still see and smell the smoke from the forest fires engulfing British Columbia. Truth is, a hard rain in these parts would be a blessing.

Early to bed tonight as the first car out tomorrow is at 7:30am.

“Results are in. We kept our third in class and 8th overall”
Just a pretty picture.
Moring in Dawson Creek
We stopped in Cheyenne today and the town
is full very large wood carvings.

This herd of cattle was on the road during our first Regularity today. Brant was able to get around them.
